From 1st October 2015, Croydon Council will require all Landlords of privately rented properties in the borough to obtain a Property Licence for each property they let. This includes all rented property, not just houses of multiple occupation (HMO) and is a retrospective requirement meaning that all currently rented properties will require a licence as well as all new ones from 1st October 2015.
