A SHORT HISTORY OF HORSHAM

Recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, Horsham had developed into a busy market town by the Medieval era. Famous for its iron industry and later as a brewery town, today Horsham has a population of almost 56,000. It is known for being the birthplace of several prominent historical and cultural figures, including the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, commemorated with a display of memorabilia in the town museum.
