Falmer is the closest train station to the village and ensures you're able to reach central London within 90 minutes, with trains departing every 30 minutes. Brighton Station is also only 3 miles from the village. Drivers can get to the A27 within minutes of leaving the house, allowing for an easy connection with the A23 and A26. 

A SHORT HISTORY OF WOODINGDEAN

Historically pasture land for sheep, Woodingdean enjoyed its first phase of development around the time of the First World War. However, it wasn't until the '50s and '60s that most of the village's infrastructure was put in place. The wider region has a long association with smuggling, and Rottingdean was where black market wool, tea, tobacco and lace entered the country.
