The property was purchased when our parents wanted to down-size from a larger house and take things slowly in their later years. Having all of the maintenance issues taken care of allowed them the opportunity to enjoy their free time, which they certainly did.

They made good friends with lots of the other residents and they found that the communal lounge area allowed interaction with people of a similar age, who also had similar interests.

They found being close to the town so convenient, especially if they needed to just pop to the shops, they could leave the car at home and walk or use their bus pass.
