What the owner says

We've lived here for the past 3.5 years and surrounded by Holmwood Common we've had the luxury of endless walking routes and wildlife right on our doorstep.

The residents in Oakdale are extremely friendly and always willing to help a fellow neighbour out, it's a lovely community to be a part of.

The decking and garden area has been perfect for entertaining on those sunny afternoons. With the newly installed double glazed windows, combination boiler, plumbing and electrics the maintenance is minimal and will be perfect for those looking to move straight in.

We couldn't have asked for better first home together and hope the next people who live here will enjoy it as much as we have.

Property details

Situated in Holmwood, this immaculate semi-detached bungalow is the ideal property for any homeowner.

Surrounded by National Trust land you really do get the best of both worlds as you are only 5 minutes from Dorking Town and have Holmwood Common right on your doorstep.

As you enter you are welcomed by the bright hallway that leads into the spacious lounge; the perfect spot for relaxing at the end of the day and the feature fireplace adds character. The chef of the house will be in their element in the great sized kitchen with lots of cupboards and worktop space. If you love entertaining family and friends, the adjoining dining area is ideal and you have the added benefit of doors leading out onto the generous decking area, perfect for those summer BBQs!

Like every room in the house the 2 bedrooms are of a good size and in immaculate condition. You will love the tiled bathroom with its bath, separate walk-in shower and heated towel rail.

In addition to the decking area there is also a good size garden, which the current owners have left as natural woodland, however has the potential to be somewhere special where you can grow your own flowers and veg or be laid to lawn. If parking is something you need then you will be impressed by the large driveway, which provides enough space for up to 4 cars.

You will really appreciate the work the current owners have put into making this such a fantastic home and viewings are highly recommended. Book now to avoid missing out.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
