What the owner says

My mother lived here for a number of years. It is ideally located being close to the town with easy access to the shops, library and Dorking Halls.

She enjoyed the social side of living here and took part in quiz nights, fish & chip suppers and played canasta on card nights.

She also enjoyed the communal garden where you can sit outside in the warmer weather.

I hope the next owner will enjoy living here as much as she did.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
