My parents bought this apartment 27 years ago. My father had been stationed at nearby Juniper Hall during World War II and they loved the area so much they decided to return here when they retired. They were immediately taken with the space this apartment offered, particularly the large drawing room with window seat and its ready access to the roof terrace and views beyond to the fabulous communal garden. The building is steeped in history – Daniel Defoe lived here when he was a boy and it is thought Princess Sophie de Broglie lived here with her son in 1792.
