What the owner says

We moved back to the area from France and wanted to be close to East Grinstead. We liked the village location and this was close enough to our daughters school too.

Since moving in we have opened up the kitchen and dining area making one great space: we will miss it greatly.

We've really enjoyed living in the village. There's always plenty on offer irrespective of your age.

Property details

In a popular village location sits a character cottage you will want to call home. Off road parking for two in a road where it is such a premium. It’s here you will clock that the property has been added to and this extra space will come in very handy.

A large porch, to remove coats, shows and the like. Ideal after one of many countryside strolls available to you in and around the village. Maybe you ventured to Ashdown Forest? A utility area complete with toilet is a great place to hose down young one or pets (if required). With the washing machine, etc tucked out here this allows more space in the kitchen/diner.

What a space this is too. A large window gives a pleasant outlook over the rear garden. A large dining table can fit in here with ease without taking over the room. It is easy to imagine guests sat at the table as you cook up a storm.

The cosy confines of the lounge are made even more homely with the roaring open fire. Logs crackling are the perfect end to any day or week.

The main bedroom is a comfortable double bedroom and shares the first floor with the family bathroom. The second bedroom is found on the top floor and as well as having eaves storage is also an impressive double.

As well as the secluded rear garden there is a side garden which could be whatever you want it to be.

The village centre can be reached on foot: ideal if you need milk or fancy some produce from the butcher.

Our local guide for East Grinstead

Looking for estate agents and letting agents in East Grinstead? Our local branch of Cubitt & West can be found in Whitehall Parade, near the cinema.

The historic town is situated on the very edge of High Weald, an area of outstanding natural beauty that stretches from Horsham to the west all the way to Hastings on the coast. You can enjoy the stunning country side and rolling hills as well as the benefits of an urban centre with exceptional transport links to London and the rest of the country.

Lying on the Greenwich Meridian, the town is steeped in history and boasts one of the longest continuous runs of 14th Century timber-frame buildings in the country. One notable building is Sackville College, where John Mason Neale wrote the popular Christmas carol 'Good King Wenceslas'. The High Street is home to the oldest parade of shops in the country where you'll find plenty of independent boutique shops.

Travelling from East Grinstead station will see you in Clapham Junction and Victoria in under an hour. Whilst the A22 and 23 will see you to the coast in similar time, with Brighton and Eastbourne within easy reach.
