What the owner says

What attracted us to this property was the space and potential it had to offer. Since we moved in, we have had the roof and chimney repaired, installed new flooring, re-plastered and redecorated throughout as well as extending and replacing the kitchen and bathroom.

We have found the large garage/workshop a fantastic addition and it's also handy for those extra storage needs. The location is great being so close to Dorking's town centre where you can enjoy the finest pubs, restaurants and shops and best of all having lovely countryside walks so nearby!

We will be sorry to leave however we are happy in the knowledge that the new owners will love living here as much as we have.

Property details

If you're looking for something with character and charm but keeping up with modern living then look no further.

On winter evenings cosy up in the living room in front of the log burner and relax after a long day. The fabulous extended country style kitchen is full of natural light and with integrated appliances, ample storage and plenty of worktop space the chef of the house won't be disappointed. With the dining room so close by it is easy to entertain friends and family, with room for a large dining table and chairs, and in the warmer months you can open up the bifold doors from the kitchen straight onto the patio to sit and out and enjoy the sunshine. The utility room and downstairs cloakroom are certainly an added bonus.

Upstairs, both bedrooms are double in size and in immaculate condition and Bedroom 2 has the benefit of built in wardrobes. The bathroom is truly stunning and has been thoughtfully renovated, boasting both a walk-in shower and separate bath.

Outside is the spacious sunken patio with steps leading up to the lawn area, where there is plenty of room for children to play or to grown your own veg. The decking area is ideal for setting up the BBQ in the summer. There are 2 parking spaces on the driveway as well as a large garage, which has also been kept in great condition so could easily be an office if you work from home. With the centre of Dorking within easy reach you are close to the stations, shops, restaurants and excellent local schools.

This is a one of a kind home so make sure you book to view!

Our professional photography and brochures give the very best first impression of your home. Our network of branches covers the whole of the South East and the South Coast. Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
