What the owner says

I have owned this house for around 30 years and have really enjoyed living here.

The location is so convenient being close to the town centre. Doing a food shop is easy and with the stations so close by it would be perfect for commuters.

I recently had the property redecorated and set to a good standard so the new owners will find they have very little to do.

I have now moved to a different area and so am selling with no chain.

Property details

If you're looking for a larger than average cottage in a central location just a short walk from Dorking High Street and stations then this is one to view.

The lounge is the perfect place to watch TV or just relax with a good book. If you like to entertain family and friends there is plenty of space in the dining room for a good size table and chairs and the chef of the house can chat to guests whilst cooking up a storm in the kitchen, which is close by. You have the added bonus of a downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs, both bedrooms on the first floor are double in size and the family bathroom, with separate bath and shower, is the perfect place for a wake up blast in the morning or a leisurely soak at the end of the day.

Outside, the rear cottage garden is the ideal spot for some al-fresco dining with space for your table, chairs and barbeque and having rear access you won't need to worry about bringing your bicycle or plants for the garden through the house.

Situated on a private road there is residents parking but being so close to Dorking High Street and stations there is no need to get the car out as all are just a short walk away. The property is also within walking distance of local schools.

The property has recently been redecorated and is in good condition so you can move straight in, unpack your bags and enjoy your new home.

This house is well worth viewing so make sure you book today.

Our professional photography and brochures give the very best first impression of your home. Our network of branches covers the whole of the South East and the South Coast. Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
