What the owner says

What first attracted us to the property was its fantastic location. Being in the heart of the town we have been able to enjoy all the local amenities with ease and should we ever want to go to the City or the coast then being within walking distance of the stations is great! With Waitrose just over the road it's easy to pick up the essentials if you run out.

The property itself is light and bright and the garden is a lovely space. We have also really felt the benefits of having our own parking space, something we certainly haven't taken for granted being in the centre of town!

We are now looking to upsize and, although we will be sad to leave, we know the new owners will be just as happy living here as we have been.

The two double bedrooms upstairs are bright and airy and with a great size bathroom, as well as a downstairs cloakroom, it's ideal for when you're hosting family and friends.

On those warm summer days you can open up the back door and spill out into the rear garden to really make the most of it and with the addition of off road parking and raised flower beds out the front you will be pleasantly surprised by the added bonuses this property comes with.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
