What the owner says

We have really enjoyed living here and the excellent location and charm of the cottage are what really attracted us to the property.

The property has gas central heating throughout and this year we installed a new British Gas boiler. We have very recently had the basement tanked and replastered so this could easily become a further reception room or bedroom.

We are sorry to leave however we now need to move up the property ladder with our growing family. We know the new owners will love living here as much as we have!

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
