What the owner says

What first attracted us to the house was the amazing location and stunning grounds surrounding the property. The house is a really good size and has all you would need and want for, especially in such a special location.

Since owning the property we have made significant changes to make it more energy efficient such as a new front door, secondary tier glazing and new electric storage heaters.

We have moved to a different area and had the property let for the last couple of years and it has been a great investment. We are excited for the new buyers as we know they will enjoy living here!

Property details

If you are looking to live in luxury, then look no further. This lovely Mews house is set in stunning grounds and the perfect place to leave your day behind you when you get home.

The well equipped, modern fitted kitchen, with integrated appliances, is the ideal place to cook up a storm with its ample worktops and storage space. The cosy living room is the perfect setting to curl up and watch your favourite movie.

Upstairs you will be surprised by how much space there is! With two double bedrooms it is ideal for a family or to have guests stay over. When it is time to relax, why not unwind with a hot bubble bath in the peaceful surroundings. The property also benefits from triple glazing in the windows.

Why not enjoy the summer in the beautiful grounds of Lyne House by firing up the bbq and dining al fresco with your friends. You will never get bored of the breath-taking views and can take advantage of the extensive communal gardens and walks on your doorstep.

Lyne House is just a short drive from Dorking town centre where you can benefit from all the local amenities including some great shops and restaurants and convenient transport links.

Lyne House itself is steeped in history and The Broadwood family (who purchased The Lyne Estate), famous for piano and harpsichord manufacture, retained the property until the last surviving member, Captain Evelyn Henry Schudi Broadwood in 1975.

Our marketing in Dorking gives you a considerable advantage when you are selling your property to potential buyers. Our professional photography and brochures give the very best first impression of your home. Our network of branches covers the whole of the South East and the South Coast. You can read stories from satisfied customers below to see what we can do for you.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.

You can find out more about what it's like to live here in our Guide to Living in Dorking.
