What the owner says

We bought this house around 10 years ago – we were looking for a 2 bedroom property in a village location and as soon as we saw the fabulous views we knew this was the house for us. We love the walk up to Ranmore – it takes around an hour - and our son especially loves the cakes that are served from the cafe on a Sunday!

Since living here we have extended and added on the family room, had wardrobes fitted in the bedrooms and had a new bathroom and cloakroom fitted. We are now looking to move up the property ladder and hope the new owners will enjoy living here as much as we have.

Property details

If you're looking for a house in the sought after village of Westcott then look no further as this home, set over 3 floors and with fabulous views towards Ranmore, could be what you have been searching for!

It offers flexible living depending on the season as in winter months you can cosy up in the lounge and bask in the warmth from the log burner, while in the summer months make full use of the family area on the lower ground floor where you can open up the bi-fold doors and really let the outside in; enjoying the garden and views to Ranmore.

With a separate dining room you can entertain family and friends in style or for more informal dining use the kitchen/breakfast area where you can be cooking up a storm without missing out on any of the conversation.

Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms with a jack and jill cloakroom and a family bathroom on the lower ground floor.

The good size rear garden is the ideal spot for some al-fresco dining with plenty of space for your table, chairs and barbeque and is large enough for children to run around and tire themselves out.

Westcott has a thriving village community with shop, bakers, pub, church & school and has easy access to both Dorking & Guildford.

This house is definitely one to view so make sure you book your viewing today!

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
