We have lived at the BedZED estate since it first opened in 2002, initially we loved the idea of living in a sustainable community, but over the years it's the people we've come to love more than anything else. The running costs have been one of the best features, it's fun to tease people with just how little it costs to run the home each year, less than £1,000! Over the years we've made some adaptions, including a new bathroom suite, adding a walk-in shower with rainfall head and a cupboard to hide the washing machine. In 2018 we replaced the kitchen and appliances, including dishwasher, induction hob and boiling water tap – making tea has never been so easy! Add this to the large sun space and roof terrace garden and you have a dream home which we will miss.
