What the owner says

We preferred the location of this house to others we had viewed. At the time it represented really good value for money and has served us really well for the time we have spent here.

Since moving in we have updated everything: it was in a bit of a state.

We have found living here really convenient for the town, the train stations and the countryside which is only over the road.

Property details

A light and bright property and somewhat different to many of its peers. With plenty of natural light throughout the house all the rooms are illuminated for most points of the day.

A kitchen/diner that you can eat in and dual aspect too. Space for a breakfast table in here, but it does not overpower the room. The aroma of coffee will guide you here in early mornings and is sure to awaken you from your slumber. With plenty of unit and work surface space to utilise you’ll be playing host to many and cooking up a storm. Maybe you’ll be the next Masterchef!

A spacious lounge looks out over the larger than expected rear garden. As you won’t need to eat off your laps in here there’s more than enough room for a sofa or two. A great place to enjoy Saturday night or any form of NetFlix offering.

This design of house is fantastic in terms of the sizes of the bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is also dual aspect. The second bedroom is equally a comfortable double and the third is currently set out as a study but could easily be a single bedroom. Having the bathroom plus a separate toilet on the first floor will make the morning routine more convenient.

The town centre has a range of independent and well-known shops. The town has not one, but two mainline train stations with links to London.

Our local guide for East Grinstead

Looking for estate agents and letting agents in East Grinstead? Our local branch of Cubitt & West can be found in Whitehall Parade, near the cinema.

The historic town is situated on the very edge of High Weald, an area of outstanding natural beauty that stretches from Horsham to the west all the way to Hastings on the coast. You can enjoy the stunning country side and rolling hills as well as the benefits of an urban centre with exceptional transport links to London and the rest of the country.

Lying on the Greenwich Meridian, the town is steeped in history and boasts one of the longest continuous runs of 14th Century timber-frame buildings in the country. One notable building is Sackville College, where John Mason Neale wrote the popular Christmas carol 'Good King Wenceslas'. The High Street is home to the oldest parade of shops in the country where you'll find plenty of independent boutique shops.

Travelling from East Grinstead station will see you in Clapham Junction and Victoria in under an hour. Whilst the A22 and 23 will see you to the coast in similar time, with Brighton and Eastbourne within easy reach.
