What the owner says

I have owned the property for a number of years and it really has been a much loved home. It is in such a fantastic location offering access to Dorking with excellent transport links on my doorstep.

With the property not having been extended as most of the neighbours have, I feel it is now time to pass the property onto a new family to update and extend to their needs and put their own mark on it.

It will be sad to see the house sell, but I know that I am handing over what will be a superb family home to the new owners.

Property details

Sitting in your gorgeous garden you will look back at your amazing home and wonder how life got this good. Set within what can only be described as one of the areas most coveted roads, this is a fabulous home. What makes the house so special is its refusal to compromise in any way, offering an adaptable layout over two floors, with a huge amount of potential to extend as the neighbours have - subject to the relevant permissions.

This is a home that has been lovingly cared for throughout its ownership. This is evident when you walk through the front door, where it really is time to entertain - and not just the family! The real heart of the house is the kitchen, being a very social space where you can converse with friends whilst making dinner, or just as simple as eating breakfast with your children. The dining room offers a more formal area for dinner parties, whilst the spacious living room, with french doors to the garden, being perfect for getting all the family together.

The accommodation continues on the ground floor with a cloakroom adding to the appeal. Upstairs the house certainly doesn't disappoint. With three double bedrooms and a family bathroom it means you can relax after a stressful day at work.

Outside is where the house really excels, with an excellent plot that offers some of the most secluded gardens imaginable. The garage and driveway add convenience and grandeur, making your choice of new home that little bit easier! Westhumble station is just a short walk away too.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
