What the owner says

We have spent almost 25 happy years in this house and brought up 6 children here.

Being in the Brockham school catchment area is great as it is just a short walk to get the little ones to school.

Brockham is a fantastic place to live with a wonderful community feel. Boasting a wide range of amenities including a store, a butcher, vets, doctors and pubs we have always been able to stay local for the things we need. Within easy driving distance of Dorking and Reigate, both with mainline stations to London, there are plenty of options for family days out.

We will be sad to leave but with the children now flying the nest we feel it is time for a change.

Property details

If you are looking for a bright and spacious family home in a village location then this is the one for you!

The property has been lovingly refurbished by the current owners over the last few years and you really can see this when you walk in. The open hallway leads to the refitted kitchen where there is ample storage and the amount of worktop space means that the chef of the house really can let loose and cook up a storm for the whole family.

A large and bright lounge/dining area provides the perfect space to relax and spend time as a family, whether cosying up in front of the TV or enjoying some games. The French doors lead into a light and airy sun room which is a lovely place to sit and look out into the garden.

Being incredibly spacious, bedroom 1 is the perfect room to create your own personal haven away from the rest of the world and the equally spacious second bedroom benefits from inbuilt wardrobes. If it's a refreshing shower in the morning or a long soak in the evening you are after then the modern family bathroom has it all.

The loft conversion provides a further two bedrooms which is perfect to suit a growing family's needs.

From the front there is a sheltered side access to the good size and well appointed rear garden meaning there is no need to take bikes or tools through the house. With the addition of a separate store as well as a utility/shower room the outside space of this property is fantastic for any extra storage needs.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.
