What the owner says

It has been an absolute joy bringing my family up in this house. The children have loved inviting friends round and it has come to be known as 'the party house' because of the amount of space on offer for them to entertain and enjoy the garden. The extension downstairs has enabled me to work from home and makes the perfect office, however it could also be used as a playroom or extra bedroom.

It has been lovely spending time together as a family taking the dog out for walks in the beautiful surrounding Brockham countryside. We have recently been letting the property out but have now decided it is time to sell. We will miss the house but know that the new buyers will love it as much as we have.

Property details

If you're looking for village life and a house you can turn into a home then look no further as this fantastic property is an opportunity not to be missed.

The living area is the ideal place to relax and unwind at the end of a hectic day or perfect to spend some quality time together as a family. Soon to be the heart of the home, the kitchen/breakfast room has ample worktop space and plenty of storage - sure to please the chef of the house. There is also space for a dining table and chairs, however if you enjoy more formal dining then you will love the separate dining area. With doors opening straight onto the garden from the kitchen you can spill outside in those warmer months and enjoy dining al-fresco. The utility room makes light work of household chores as well as keeping the white goods out of sight.

The 4 good size bedrooms make this property ideal for a growing family, with the added bonus of 3 having fitted wardrobes. Make sure to have the Master for yourself though as it has it's own en-suite bath and shower room, just the spot to wind down once putting the children to bed and getting away from it all. Benefitting from having a further shower room upstairs and a downstairs toilet means morning queues are a thing of the past.

Pulling up onto your own driveway is convenience at its best making unloading the shopping a doddle and the garage provides that much needed extra storage space, or could easily be converted into something great.

Our professional photography and brochures give the very best first impression of your home. Our network of branches covers the whole of the South East and the South Coast. You can read stories from satisfied customers below to see what we can do for you.

Steeped in history and literature Dorking was the birthplace of legendary actor Laurence Olivier, who lived in Wathen Road, and was home to Daniel Defoe. The author of Robinson Crusoe was educated at the Rev. James Fisher's boarding school in Pixham Lane. As an old market town it is renowned for its antique shops with West Street being the heart of the local antique trade. There is still a market held in the town every Friday in St. Martins Walk. Contemporary arts on offer include a cinema and theatre and there is also a Leisure Centre to cater for your fitness needs. The local schools offer another attraction to the area for parents, with the 'Ofsted Outstanding' St.Pauls primary and The Ashcombe secondary school, which Ofsted praised for its 'exceptional pastoral care'.

You can find out more about what it's like to live here in our Guide to Living in Dorking.
