Having been here for many years, it’s plain to see how happy we’ve been in Denmead. The village itself is lovely and with it being a cul-de-sac, we see very little activity which is great.

It’s proved to be a great home for us and we love how quiet it is. There are some lovely walks whilst the local pubs are also a lovely way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon lunch.

The garage gives us that extra storage space which is so beneficial. We’ll take some great memories with us to our next home.

Waterlooville was allegedly named after a pub in the centre of the village. In 1815 soldiers who had just disembarked at Portsmouth returning from the battle of Waterloo decided to stop there and celebrate their victory. The public house was renamed in their honour and the area around the pub became known as Waterlooville. It has a number properties in the popular areas of Denmead, Horndean and Catherington.
