When we bought this property ten years ago, we had just sold our house in France and Kingston and this place felt like a combination of the two. It was charming, had plenty of character and more space than we knew what to do with. It also had a southerly aspect garden which was the icing on the cake as we do like plenty of sunshine. It had also previously been a veterinary surgery in recent years. We have done a huge amount of work over the years including replacing the kitchen twice and new bathrooms too. We have also re-decorated every room and had the log burner installed. We did think about applying for permission for a dropped kerb out the front but have honestly never struggled to park right outside so just have never bothered.
