What the owner says

We loved this house as soon as we walked through the door and were bowled over by the amount of space and light. We were looking for somewhere with a big garden with enough room for the kids to grow into, where we could work from home and with plenty of space for friends to stay. We weren't originally looking in Berwick but just fell in love with the house and the endless possibilities the space offers.

Berwick has a lovely community and a host of amazing walks on it's doorstep, from the South Downs to the Vanguard Way. The station is a real bonus and just a stones throw away, so you can live in the heart of the countryside and still hop on a train into Lewes, Brighton, London and Eastbourne with ease.

Property details

Do all the houses you view end up feeling a little small? Would you like the space to work from home? Perhaps you are looking for a house that could be used for a Bed & Breakfast business or maybe you have a large family? This property in Berwick could well be the house for you.

Berwick is a popular village located close to the South Downs and although small has an active village life with a local village hall, shop, garage, post office and mainline train station with direct links to Lewes, Brighton and London. Furthermore, Berwick old village is home to the renown Cricketers pub and Berwick Church with the infamous Bloomsbury Group paintings.

This extensive house is truly impressive. Beautifully presented, you can settle in straight away with the added luxury of a modern kitchen and two modern bathrooms. But it is the views from both the front and rear garden that will really blow you away. Fabulous countryside is on your doorstep with the rear garden backing onto open farmland.

The accommodation is very flexible with a large, open-plan lounge/dining area with French doors opening onto the rear garden. There is a large kitchen/breakfast area with an AGA and space for a large family dining table and chairs. The family room is excellent for children and there is a study, ideal for working from home.
